Well I'm at the hotel, but the driver i had arranged called to say he would be an hour late, then called to say someone else was coming, and then that he couldn't come at all. I ended up going outside and using border cab co. They are all regulated by the airport, they can't serve people in Juarez, they can only take them there. so it wasn't toooo bad, but still I was pretty irritated.

The receptionist told me to be in line for the medical before 5

Thanks for the support! Yes we're at the Holiday Inn.....I know 5 is early, but I don't want to take any chance of missing it tomorrow. I'd rather be tired and early then spend another night :)

Yeah, 5 is super early almost everyone on this thread says its better to wait, but you should do what you feel comfortable with.

Is Genny's SO still in Juarez maybe you could meet up with him for tips.... just a suggestion.

Chinman good luck. I think maybe if you guys get to medical by 6 (it opens at 6:30) then that is plenty of time. Roberto is next door at the Microhotel because he got a better rate there and it is not nearly as nice as the Holiday Inn but he isn't as picky as me.

Genny, how can we get the 60 dollar a day rate?

Could you list the documents they actually took from him?

Andrea

Andrea,

I have seen the $60 rate on Expedia. But the shuttle driver Victor said that he could have gotten the rate for us. His number is (915) 526-9772.

In Roberto's interview they asked for each of the papers from the consulate website and the only one they wanted two copies of was the DS 156 (they asked for that outside before he even went in). They asked for his original birth certificate but not the police records. They also asked for the I-134, Affidavit of Support and supporting documents for that. They didn't ask for our proof of relationship packet that I made with photos and emails and chat records. They did look at the pictures that I sent in to Vermont for proof. They asked him for details about people in the pictures.

Let me know if you need something else,

Sandi

Sandi,

How does that work? How is the payment made?

Genny,

Thanks. Luis my SO was wondering if perhaps he could maybe contact Roberto by email. He was hoping Roberto could answer some of his questions and put his mind at ease. If you are not comfortable with that it's fine I understand, but if you are ok with it you could send me a private message with is email address.

For medical I waited in the room and he was out in 2 hours. It doesn't seem dangerous to walk back and forth. For the interview I also waited in the room and went to the mall across the street. The Holiday Inn is so close. I did walk down with Roberto and stand in line with him both for medical and for the interview but they didn't let me in either time. Each time he finished he walked back to the room and met me there.

Genny,

Thanks he has a ton of questions and feels more comfortable to ask him in Spanish.

Do you know how Victor's service works? If I call and book with him how would I pay for the service or does he just make the reservation?
