Hello everyone, loosing my patience at times with the on going of our k1 visa application, and all insight is fully appreciated .. we applied are k1 visa on may, 2010 we waited and waited constantly doing follow -up calls but usually recieved the answer that our concern is noted and wait 60 days after for any reply, but nothing had happen, neither approved or disapproved... on october 2011 we decided to apply new K1 visa cancelling the first k1 application, thinking that maybe our second k1 application might indeed receive an update or progress . we received rfe and complied it, VSC received our rfe reply on feb. 23, 2012. we waited after the 60 days period for any decision made after doing follow up , again it was the usual answer that it was been noted. we are still patiently waiting for the result on how are visa's direction... we had been waiting ever since the first time we apply for k1 on may, 2010 then reapply on Oct, 2011.... Its hard to wait with that span of time ... we also send a few letter to ask how its going but we send our letter not anyone in particular... If anyone knew the name of the person we need to address our letters of follow up, please do tell us... (VSC- USCIS) . Thank you so much... Love prevails and patience is a virtue.. God bless you on your visa journey and thank you ....

I assume you are saying you canceled the previous petition? This could raise some eyebrows and perhaps prolong the process as the adjudicator might question why two petitions have been filed for the same person by the same person. Regardless, you have already had the second petition adjudicated, and USCIS sent out an RFE. What was the RFE for? You did state that they received it so I am assuming they confirmed that with notice. I think you are in a position to contact your state representative or senator. The responses you are getting about the "60 days wait and we will make note of it" are simply protocol responses made by people whom do not have any of your information sitting in front of them. It is typical that some will have to wait out 60 days after that 5 month mark has passed to get an approval. However, there is no need for you to keep waiting when it has been well over 7 months since your filing. You sent the RFE in Feb., and it is now July. Contact your representative.

I dont think sending a letter will help, You must call the service center and find out what is going on with your application. Did you recieve a NOA1? do you have a reference number? if you at vermont , yes the wait is longer than california but it looks like you have waited more than the expected 6 months. You must call them and ask for a service request, I also recommend you get your local congressman involved, they might be able to help you. GOODLUCK

whoa...whoa...whoa.....something very strange is going on here. You file you first petition with the help of an immigration attorney, your petition becomes lost, and you do not demand that your attorney probe the government to find it???

So you file a 2nd identical petition and once again your petition becomes lost??? I'm not buying what is going on here!

I didn't see them mention an attorney or their petition getting lost?

OP: you need to get in contact with their senator/local representative and get them to find out what the hold up is.

Because you did not go to his timeline and read his story...!!!
