I received a call today from the U.S. EMBASSY informing us that we need a Co-sponsor, so my question is; can i take the Co-sponsor I-864 forms and supporting documents on the day of the interview? which is schedule month,or do i need to sent them in to the embassy befor the interview date?

I think you should send co-sponsor I864 out to complete your case at NVC.

If your case is not completed, you won't receive your interview date arrangement.

You should call NVC and get supervisor level to talk your case.

Did you do a direct consular filing? If so, submitting co-sponsor documents ahead of your interview is definitely recommend to avoid any delay in getting visa.

Once your case is completed at the NVC stage and your file sent to the consulate, you do not have anything to do with the NVC anymore. All subsequent communications should be with the consulate. So sending the co-sponsor documents to the NVC will not be the right step as your file is not with them anymore and so there is no place to put it. I think you should send it to the consulate where you are doing the interview. You may wish to confirm by calling/sending an email to the consulate to confirm. In my case, I sent an email to NVC concerning an RFE we got and they replied saying my case has been completed and the file sent to the consulate. They advised that all subsequent communications should be with the consulate. Good luck.

You could do what I did when I was told I needed a co-sponsor: get the co-sponsor paperwork, scan it, and attach it to an email which you will send to the embassy. Make sure to reference your case number in the subject line of the email eg: 2nd Inquiry Case Number Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial (Co-Sponsor Documents Attached)

In the body of the email explain that you have the co-sponsor documents as requested in the telephone call you received from the embassy, and that you will be taking the original documents with you to the interview. Send the email to KingstonIVAppointment@state.gov.

Then be sure to take the docs with you to your embassy appointment and submit them during the document intake process before the interview.

Wishing you ALL the best!
