I filed the I-130 on Feb 21,2013.

Received NOA1 on Feb 26,2013

Case got transferred to MSC on October 23, 2013z

My mom's case was approved on 12/03/2013 and has been forwarded to the NVC today 12/05/2013 for visa processing.

Thanks to all users that have helped me throught this process, my parents visa just got approved. After delays along the way because of govt. worker errors, its finally done. I couldn't have done it without you guys and didn't want to pay for someone else to do it.

I was just receive an email to pay my moms AOS and for my dad still waiting for the email for confirmation. I call NVC they said my dad already have an MNL case# just wait for the email. But he told me to go ahead and pay for AOS anyways since its still covers my dads fee. Anyways, about mailing AOS papers to NVC for both parents, please correct me if i'm wrong:

· I can send both petitions in one envelope but separate applications and supporting documents...

I know it was already ask before and been answered, But the man I talk from NVC saying need to be mail them separately. Now I’m confuse, I really want to send both of the application in one envelope. Do you think it would be a problem if I just send them in one envelope, Please need help with this confusion. Your answer is really appreciated thanks.

As long as you have the cover sheet for each case, you can submit the AOS in one envelope but separate form and documents...thats what I did when I submit the AOS...

So, I mailed my dad's I-130 packet on 11/25/13 and was received on 11/27/13 as well as the check was cashed. Then on 1/12/14, I received NOA saying that my petition was approved and will be forwarded to NVC. Does anybody knows how long this would take? Your replies are greatly appreciated

If you want to mail them together, I would be using an inner sealed  envelope for each one , so there is minimal risk of confusion

We used one cover letter for both and put both petitions in one envelope. So far they are being processed together I think. We used separate checks and separate evidence for each petition.

If you don't mind, I would like to know if your parents need to get their birth certificate, marriage certificate & police certificate prior to their interview at U.S consulate ?  thank you.

FYI, you're asking someone who posted that 7 years ago.

Yes, copies of those 3 documents are required, interview would not be scheduled without them. Originals should be carried to the interview.
