Hi I need your help regarding TOTAL INCOME for form I-134 can I use the total income I made last yr. (W2). with the total child support I got from last yr.? Or I need to do my own entire math like adding how much hourly to yearly income and the child support income base on the court order?

Here’s the thing...if I total everything using the W2 total income and child support I got base how much I received its way different from just using my own math I guess lol.

Maybe about $3000 different....I guess I work more hour last yr. and I received more payment from child support (I have ALL the statement from the last 3yrs…from some reason I got pay more than usual). Any idea? Thanks

NOTES:

no matter what i still make enough to meet the total income guidelines for 3 member household...i just want to do the right answer for that question

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

If you are self-employed then you would use line 22 from your 2011 1040. However, if you are an employee, then you need to figure up your current income. If you are paid hourly, then multiply your per hour rate by the number of hours you work a week(if this fluctuates, then use an average), then multiply that number by 52. If you are paid child support, then multiply how much you get a month by 12. Add that with your current income, and you have your current total income. That is what you use, not last years amount.

Child support is income. You just need to show a copy of the court order for it, and proof you receive it.

From form 1040, use line 22. Alimony is income, child support is not. I don't see a place on the 134 to list "other". If this is needed to support the extra family member(s), I would attach a note with the court order.

who said that child support is not income? even the uscis website stated that child support is part of income...please stop answering something that you aren't sure yet because it will cost confusion to others.

just saying!!!!!!!

No problem. You can use letter from employer and recent pay stubs for proof of the current amount you list. Show check stubs or bank statements along with the court order to prove your child support income. Oh, and no need for an "other" spot on the I-134, just add your job income and child support together and list the total on the annual income top line. If you wish, you can put "(with child support included)" next to your total figure, but not necessary.
