Hi All!

My wife and I just started our Visa Journey. After finding a lot of help from searching through the VisaJourney site and previous posts, we wanted to join this welcoming community and seek further wisdom.

I am an US citizen, and I am trying to apply for a CR-1 for my wife, who is a Chinese citizen.

I am filling out the I-130 and G-325A forms and have some concerns.

First, is everything on the forms suppose to be filled out in English? including my wife's home address (which is in China) and employer?

Second, on the G-325A, what is the file number (is that the same as the alien registration number)? And for the place of residence for the past five years, I was a full time college student for part of that time, do I put my dorm address or my permanent adress with my parents during those years in college?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Troy

You will not be applying for a CR-1 visa for your wife, you will file a petition. You wife will apply for a CR-1 visa only after the petition you filed has been approved.

You will fill out the forms in English unless the question on the form specifically states to do otherwise.

Second, on the G-325A, what is the file number (is that the same as the alien registration number)? And for the place of residence for the past five years, I was a full time college student for part of that time, do I put my dorm address or my permanent adress with my parents during those years in college?

For the file number, you write "None" on the form you fill and on the form your wife will fill out. For residences, use your dorm address.

Everthing is in English

Sorry but everything is not in English, Question 20 on the I-130 specifically asks for the address in the native alphabet.

Also on the G-325A his wife will be required to put her name in her native alphabet.

Thanks for everyone's help.

I am nearly complete with my petition, but I have just a few more questions.

For the question on G-325A asking "the form is in connection with a application for:" what should i put? naturalization, status as a permanent residence, or other (if so what other)?

For evidence of a legit marriage, i only have affidavits from friends and documents under the "others" category such as boarding passes, receipts for rings, and pictures. Do you think thats enough? Also, how do i label and explain what these documents are? can write directly on the photocopies stating that this is a boarding pass from when i visited my wife?

1."the form is in connection with a application for:" I130-my husband did it,no problem.

2.pictures with other family members in different time and different location, credit card adding her name, tax return, joint account, life insurance adding her name, bills sharing, passport stamps, phone calls log, chatting log, something both of you are sharing assets and liabilities.

3.you can write date, location at the back of the photo.

4.you can use search bar to look for more information.

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/IR1_and_CR1_Immigrant_Visas#Evidence_of_Bona_fides_of_Marriage

5.Attachment you refer to which form and which question, it'd be fine.

Maybe,someone has better ideas,good luck.

For the question on G-325A asking "the form is in connection with a application for:" what should i put? naturalization, status as a permanent residence, or other (if so what other)?

Tick 'other' and write "Form I-130" for this question.

Also, when I dont have enough space on the forms, how do i make an attachment? specifically, what do i write in the form (see attachment or soemthing?) and how do i label the attachment?

Write "See Attached" on the field in the form. On the supplemental sheet reference the question on the form and then supply the answer.
