Hello everyone:

I have a question. My wife is from Colombia and she received her green card. She was planning to fly back to visit her family in Colombia and we found out that she is pregnant.

My question is what would be the legal ramifications of our child being born in Colombia. Would the child be considered a US citizen?

If you (the father) meet the residency and citizenship requirements then you'd file the CRBA abroad for your child to receive US ctizenship
