Are you talking about checking the case status online?

If you want to do that you need your case number (WACxxxxxxx). You can find it on the paper notice of action (NOA1) that you got in the mail or on the back of your cashed check that you sent with your petition.

Sign up at this website: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp

And then you can set it up to e-mail you when your case status changes (like if you get an RFE and when you get approved).

Hope this helps!!

And :time: as it helps all of us here. You can do that here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=40665

Good luck!!!!

Just keep checking your case status as much as you want. When something happens, the date in your portfolio will change and you can see what's going on. It may be that nothing has changed in the actual status, but it's not a bad thing when the date changes because it means somebody at CIS did something with your case. Beyond that, there's not much to look at.
