I have only been stoned once and in one way - that was in a Moslem country - and most of the stones were prickly horse chestnuts

My only sin was to be an infidel in Istanbul, Turkey the day after 9-11 in 2001

They thought it was the final push to eradicate us infidels and they were on a roll

That is why we need to civilize these people by all means - because once they have finished with their women, we will be next

The British told the Indians (In India) that we would hang them if they didn't stop burning widows

They stopped

We should tell the Saudis and the rest of them that we will invade and do the same to them

It's in our own interests to impose civilized (not christian) values either by sanctions or the rope

I doubt you're ever been to Turkey, but, if you have, and Turks threw stones at you, it wasn't for religious reasons.

The west has little to brag about regarding its treatment of women. Those who do have some equality between the sexes are still on training wheels, that "equality" is so new.

And the difference is that we do not have a Government in this country that supports Biblical law, and cuts women's heads off for cheating etc etc.. Many Muslim Nations do. We have separation of Church and State to keep our religious idiots in check.

No, they don't.

Aren't those two equivalent? 'Eradicating infidels' and 'we need to civilize these people by all means', seem to carry the same notion that one knows best what is good for others, as seen by different cultures.

Every time we see a crime, we make that same judgement.

If it's simply a really bad wig, then we should just shrug

If it's somebody else's kid being molested or someone else's wife being buried up to her neck in sand and then stoned to death, we have the choice to intervene or just watch - which is what we do when the Saudis do their thing

However, when it threatens to come our way (as in 9-11) then it's time to take action which is what we did (In Afghanistan)

If someone is stoning a woman to death in Saudi, should we just watch on CNN ?

I think it's time to clean these places up.

They would impose their values on us if they could - so we should do the same

Why should I have the right to stop my Wisconsin neighbor killing his wife, but not some guy in Saudi just because he is in an area which has a dotted line around it on the map which describes it as a different country ?

That is why we entered Kosovo and killed the Serbs - because we didn't like ethnic cleansing of Moslems

Rather than kill innocent Serbs, why don't we kill guilty Saudis ? That would make a lot more sense

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I disagree. We are very civilized in the west.

You can order a bride straight from a mail-order catalog and have her delivered to your door.

We have all but eradicated rape from our cities.

Domestic abuse and violence against women is practically unheard of these days anymore.

Prostitution is almost extinct profession and the very few prostitutes that still remain, are treated with respect and dignity by their patrons.

There is a lot we can teach others on the equal and respectful treatment of women. We ooze with civilization.

Why do you doubt I have been to Turkey ?

Do you have a 'trust ' problem ?

I know some childhood experiences can cause that

I was on my way to the Ukraine (Odessa) to kick the tires on a FSU chick

I bet you are prepared to believe that

We should watch from our private balcony in our ivory tower in the same manner we watch other prisoners being executed.

I do not see how we can throw a stone - pun intended - at another country for their policies on the death penalty.

Factoid: The stoning of this poor woman was not a religious act, nor was it carried out or supported by the Afghan government. It was a senseless criminal act by a bunch of savages who are soley responsible for her murder.

Apparently there was dispute between two men regarding this woman. To save face they made an accusation of adultery and one hour later executed her. Just saw it reported on CNN.

We can only judge the world through our own eyes and through our own perspective

There is a big difference between adultery (consensual with the accent on sensual), and being a serial murderer.

Anyone who can't tuck that under their bonnet first is going to struggle with this thread

I say burning widows is always wrong - we can't say it's up to the individual pyromaniac to decide

Why would we stop the Germans gassing Jews and the Serbs shooting Moslems, and then say the Saudis get a fee hand (no pun intended)

She can't have been very good looking or they would have agreed to alternate weekends with her.

There is that pragmatic western attitude again

How does that work? I have a few fiends that might be interested in that. I mean dropped off right at their door step and no having to deal with any of this Visa Journey along with paying thousands of dollars. Sounds like a bargain to me. BTW what exactly does that have to do with publicly executing women for adultery?

We have all but eradicated rape from our cities.

Last time I checked rape here was a crime.

Domestic abuse and violence against women is practically unheard of these days anymore.

So how are those domestic violence treatment centers working out in the Muslim countries these days? I'm sure a lot of men over there are doing prison time for DV's eh

Prostitution is almost extinct profession and the very few prostitutes that still remain, are treated with respect and dignity by their patrons.

Please tell us more. I mean I'm learning so much from your post right now that I don't even know where to begin to start. I'm wanting to move to a MENA country right now along with my wife after reading your post. It sounds like the women there have it made compared to women in Western Countries.

You are making some very strange comparisons.

Remind me what this woman's crime was again?

Here is the next germ to be executed in the US, on the 18th. This article was from 2004, they delayed his execution but will execute this parasite next week.

Condemned Dallas carjacker set to die Thursday07:10 AM CST on Thursday, March 4, 2004

Associated Press

HUNTSVILLE, Texas - Frank Meziere had watched a Dallas Mavericks basketball game at a restaurant with a friend and before heading home stopped at a self-service car wash to clean his black Mustang convertible.

The 23-year-old Plano stockbroker, a 1996 Texas A&M University graduate, never made it home.

His body was found the next day, March 26, 1998, along the side of a road in an industrial area of Oak Cliff, an area of south Dallas. He had been shot in the head 10 times. His car was found about five miles away, abandoned and with the lights on.

"Having dealt with murders, you think you've seen it all," said Jason January, a former Dallas County assistant district attorney. "But this innocent victim was shot almost for sport.

"It was just the sheer overkill of the thing that was ludicrous."

Yokamon Hearn bragged to friends about how he "domed" Meziere, meaning he shot him in the head. Hearn was set to die Thursday evening for the slaying.

I cant get a bride delivered to my door - I live in an apartment and the mailboxes are only big enough for a body thetan and 2 Higgs Bosuns. I would have to collect her at the Post Office and they look at me all funny already
