Hi, I am curios to know if anyone mailed their K1 packet to the Lewisville, TX address. I sent my packet Express mail and that is where the instructions indicated I should send it to. I sent it out on the 20th of June and J. Arthur I believe signed for it on the 21st of June. I have not gotten anything from them, no text, no email, and I can't really check to see if they cashed the money order because it was a USPS money order and the only way to trace it is to go pay $5 dollar at the post office to have it traced.

I was reading the June submissions thread, and it seems most people got a response back anywhere from 7 to 10 days of them submitting their packets to the Dallas, TX location. I am begining to worry it might have gotten lost or that it went to the wrong place, even though they have that address on the instructions.

Can anyone tell me if they are going through something similar or if they have sent their packets there and how long it took to get a respnse?

If it was signed for, then it was received. I have read sometimes it can take 30 days to get a NOA1. If it will give you peace of mind, pay the $5 and get the money order traced. Good luck to you.

I sent my packet out overnight on June 21st which was a Thursday. On Friday June 22nd I received a confirmation that they signed for it and on June 27th I received my NOA1 email and text. I sent my packet to Dallas. I was sent to Vermont and I had a friend who sent hers out to Dallas on June 26 and received her NOA1 July 1. She was sent to California. I would pay the $5 just to make sure everything is going well. I have been told that 1-2 weeks is the normal waiting time for a NOA1 but sometimes it takes 1 month. Good luck!

Thank you guys for the advice, I think that I will go ahead and head down to the post office and pay the $5. That way at least I will know if they got it and cashed the money.

I thought that way would be faster because it was a physical location instead of a drop box. I should have just sent it certified mail to the other address which seems to respond much quicker.

That's what we did last October, and had no issues.

It will work out okay.

:ot:

After reading posting after posting, I get the distinct feeling that the government bureaucracies are way behind in everything, i.e., their correspondence replies, their adjudication, their delivery transfer process, etc. Though I suspect that they are real quick to get the money.

I sent mine via FedEx to Lewisville, TX per instructions. It arrived overnight (FedEx confirmed it) I recieved an email a few days later and my check was cashed the same day as the email arrived. However it took almost 4 weeks to get my hard copy NOA1.

Pay the $5, it will be worth it to know for sure.
