Hey everyone I have a question. When my husband had his final meeting at the consulate in Auckland the lady told him that because he would be entering the US within the 90 day window of our 2 yr wedding anniversary that we wouldn't have to worry about lifting the restrictions of his greencard. When he entered the US the man at the border told him that he would have to have the restrictions lifted and we had 90 days to do that. Well he received his greencard in the mail and it says Permanent Resident card expires 06/01/14. I wanted to check here before I make a phone call that would probably get me no where. Since we got his card does that mean everything is good and we don't have to have the restrictions lifted? Thanks for the help.

You will have to have restrictions lifted (ROC) 90 days prior to the expiry date of his current greencard. Because he entered prioer to the 2 year anniversary of your marriage, he has to do ROC.

Sounds like two separate misinterpretations of the 90 day issue. He'll need to remove conditions during the 90 day window preceding the second anniversary of his entry. This is because he entered the USA BEFORE the second anniversary of your marriage.
