For those USC's applying for Alien Spouses who are already in the US, do random house visits from USCIS personnel still happening these days? If so, do they come unannounced or will call first to inform couples about the visit?

I just read an article from a Filipino newspaper today that upon submitting I-130 application, USCIS sends someone to check if couples applying really live together. On the other hand, I have a friend of a friend who petitioned her out-of-status husband last year but never went through this scenario.

I guess we just wanna prepare in case it happens to us. If anyone has experienced this recently, what exactly do these USCIS people do during the visit?

Yes, they still happen, but they are not standard. Most of the time they happen when you have a lot of red flags, and more likely, after a first (failed) interview.
