For all of you filing in Nigeria and who know there are no set prices for anything whatsoever...my husband called and stated his Police Certificate is going to cost =N=8000

Oh...and he can't pick it up until tomorrow after waiting all day today. Be prepared if you are heading down this road.

Wow, that's a lot. Where is he having it done? My fiance had his done in Ikoyi and they wanted N5000 I believe but we only gave N3000 and left with the certificate in hand. Your husband is Nigeria, he knows how to bring the price down. We just said we didn't have anymore money. Also, we looked at having his police certificate done in his home town, but they wanted to charge us N15,000!! We said NO THANKS! And got it done in Lagos, which was much cheaper.

Only 3 months, so you want to wait to NOA2 and have him send it to you FedEx. In addition, I completed all of my husbands applicaitons DS-3032 and DS-230, scanned them in and emailed them over to him. He printed everything out and signed the DS-3032, then the DS-230 (page 2 only) in blue ink. He is returning those with Police Certificate and Long Form Birth Certificate.

The marriage certificate and everything else is already here with me. He will send it all by FedEx, probably just in time for me to get the invoice, pay and turn everything in.

My husband is a big guy and older...so for some reason this makes everyone think he is loaded! (he's just sensitive to carbs!!!)

Any way...he did get it down to N6000, but that was still way to much! Sad that the criminal investigation team ARE CRIMINALS! :bonk:

My Sister went to get mine yesterday ( 6/26/2012 ) and it only cost 6000... Ready within 4hrs!!!

Baby, Nigeria is a whole new ballgame! Ask anyone who is trying to bring a spouse from that area!!! :wow:

That's actually not a bad price. I've read anywhere from N12 to N15k and received in 24 hours.

That's $80 to $100 USD! Too much. He talked them down to 6000...about 40 bucks. Much betta! (as my husband would say)

Excellent.

Prices vary a lot depending on workload and how much "they" think they can squeeze out of you.

PS: Proud of your Husband, seems that he's not a "mugu" and is smart and resourceful.
