I submitted my form and they received it on the 06JUN12. My issue is, the accepted bubble on the tracker site says it normally takes 2 days for the application to go from "initial review" to accepted/rejected and that if it takes more than 30 days to call them. Has anybody else had this happen and if so what did it mean? I am trying to make sure this process goes as smoothly as possible for my fiance. Thanks for any and all information you can provide.

Relax. The 'Initial Review' status can last for months. Nothing to worry about.

Your being in the military should make it much easier... I believe military folks have a different process/path than none-military folk.

Thanks for serving, you have no idea just how we appreciate you - and the unselfish sacrifice you make for country. Godspeed in having and your loved one home in America1

Yes... you will receive a hardcopy which is the NOA1.

You can check the Case Status when you have your number. Don't be surprised if the status doesn't change from Initial Review as this often happens and cases have gone right through to completion and the status is never updated. Its good to keep an eye on what is going on with other cases with similar dates on VJ so you have an idea of where you stand.

There seem to be a lot of delays at initial stages of this process recently, but now you're on your way. Best of luck !
