Has anyone that put in a service request had success is speeding the process? It seems that a stock answer at least from VSC may be that the case is being processed and there will be an update in sixty days.

How about the follow up 21 day email to the service center after an unsuccessful service request?

I'd like to know it is helpful or detrimental to follow up in this manner.

There is absolutely nothing you can do to speed up the process. Your case will be adjucated when the person adjucating it gets to it. I drove myself crazy trying to get my wife's petition approved and i learned a real truth about dealing with USCIS. I learned that the timing of my petition being approved or adjucated is completely out of my hands, and there is nothing i could do about it. That service request is #######, its just a way for them to say, "its going to be up to 60 days for a decision on your case". You can call them 100 times a day and each person you talk to will tell you something different everytime. Sit back relax and concentrate on building evidence for the interview.
