Sample letter from 3rd party

Does anyone have a copy of what a letter from a 3rd party about knowledge of the marriage? Want to make sure that we have all the information and that it is formatted correctly. We are planning on getting 3 from Australia and 3 from the US. Is that enough/to much? Thank you all in advance for your help. What a great site this is!

Just a personal letter written by someone who knows the couple and relationship. Then they include their personal contact information at the bottom.

They have some example letters in the example section on VJ. Or just ask them to write a letter about how they know you to be married etc.

Affidavits do not hold much weight in the process.

They don't have to follow any specific format, they just basically have to be a letter saying how they know you and how they know of your marriage, etc. We had a couple from people who attended our ceremony, and all they said was basically "We have known "X" and "Y" for a period of 'Z" years. We attended their wedding on (date of wedding). During the time we have known this couple, we have been on numerous outings together (vacation, etc) and have spent various holdidays such as Thanksgving and Christmas together. We have found them to be a loving couple, blah blah blah lol" - you get the idea!

On their own, affidavits don't hold much weight (of course most family and friends would be willing to make a statement about the validity of your relationship). Make sure your other evidence is strong - co-mingling of finances is the main thing they will be looking for (but not the only thing).

Can I ask... your profile says K3 visa? Do you realise that the K3 is basically a 'dead' visa? Stick with the CR-1/IR-1.
