I'd like to visit my husband during our wait but I keep worrying about traveling with kids, especially as they're US citizens. Would love to hear from others who have visited with kids and what their experience is with CBP agents. I would like to visit for a full three months.

Hej!

I've visited my USC wife three times since we got married and have had no problems at all. Bring some ties with you from Sweden just in case, but in my experience, it hasn't been needed.

I don't have experience traveling with kids though. Do they live in Sweden with you or in the US?

Lykke til!

The biggest question, with a USC husband and 2 USC kids, if asked - what can you show of why you MUST rturn to Sweden?

Good luck

I only had my work contract and recent pay stubs with me. I work full time and couldn't afford to move until I could legally work in the US anyway. But I live with my parents, don't own property and had no pressing reasons why I had to return other than being ruined financially, so I figured work contract and pay stubs was my best bet.

I wasn't asked for any of it.

I don't know if they check for this at POE but I also had three prior visas and 12 VWP trips in the past with no overstay. I was planning to also argue to them that since I got married while on a student visa I could have just adjusted status then if I wanted to. So if you've been to the US before and left on time it's probably a good thing to show.

Again, no one ever asked for any proof.
