Just Got MNL#

Hello everyone!

I called NVC today just to check if they received my case. Surprisingly after only a week after my i-129f was approved, they told me that they have forwarded my case to the Manila US Embassy today. My question is, can we now pay the visa fee even though the petition has not reached the U.S. Embassy yet? Can we also schedule for the interview after the payment? How long does it take for them to received and process it?

The DS-156 can be difficult to complete sometimes, if you have issues try a different web browser. I had problems getting it to print with IE8, Chrome, Firefox, finally got it to print using Safari.

Priorty Date; this is the date the NOA 2 was approved.

Make sure to print two copies of the interview confirmation page as you will need one for St. Luke's and the other for the embassy.

In case either or both of the contracting parties, not having been emancipated by a previous marriage, are between the ages of eighteen and twenty-one, they shall, in addition to the requirements of the preceding articles, exhibit to the local civil registrar, the consent to their marriage of their father, mother, surviving parent or guardian, or persons having legal charge of them, in the order mentioned. Such consent shall be manifested in writing by the interested party, who personally appears before the proper local civil registrar, or in the form of an affidavit made in the presence of two witnesses and attested before any official authorized by law to administer oaths. Thank you for this info. I'm confused about the priority date. You mentioned that the priority date is when the NOA2 was approved, but on other thread here on VJ said it is the received date on NOA1. I'm confused. ... Can you clarify? Thank you.

You are right, it is the date the NOA1 was accepted. I was copying the other info from someone else's posting on PRIORITY DATE. After your question I went and looked at my info and the email I got from NVC listed the priority date as the date the petition was accepted on the NOA 1
