Hi guys,

i just wonder has anyone here experience a group job interview? I just got an email from one of the banks i applied and it said its going to be a group interview? im kinda nervous. This is going to be my first job interview here in US. I don't know what to expect. Please share guys so i can get some pointers..

07/07/2011 - NOA1 - PRIORITY DATE

08/17/2011 - RECEIVED HARD COPY OF NOA1.. IT TOOK 1 MONTH TO RECEIVED DUE TO USCIS SENT IT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS..

11/16/2011 - WEBSITE STATUS: PETITION APPROVED! :)

11/23/2011 - SENT DOCUMENTS TO USEM

12/19-20/2011 - MEDICAL EXAM @ ST. LUKE'S - PASSED! :)

01/06/2012 - SCHEDULED OF INTERVIEW. VISA APPROVED! :)

01/20/2012 - VISA ON HAND AND TAKE CFO SEMINAR

01/22/2012 - SCHEDULE OF FLIGHT.. MNL-JPN-USA!! WELCOME TO AMERICA!!! :)

03/13/2012 - Mailed AOS/EAD/AP package

03/25/2012 - Package arrived at Chicago Lockbox

03/21/2012 - Received email and text, Acceptance of all forms for AOS/EAD/AP

03/22/2012 - Checks cashed by USCIS

03/26/2012 - Received all NOA1 for AOS/EAD/AP

03/29/2012 - Received biometrics appointment letter..

04/23/2012 - Done with biometrics..

05/07/2012 - EAD / AP APPROVED!

Panel or group interviews usually mean you will be interviewed by more than one person at the same time. So, it may be the hiring manager, the manager of the bank, and maybe another senior person who will be asking you questions. It's usually a time-saving tactic so they can go through as many candidates as possible and make a faster hiring decision by having the key parties in attendance vs. scheduling multiple sessions. If possible, follow up to the email to see if you can learn more on who will be joining the interview session so you can be as prepared as possible. Good luck!

yes, LeftCoastLady is right.. you will interview by the manager, assistants and some that have positions in the bank.. I had that experience before and never thought that group interview is not a group applicants interview and i was happy by that time at-least i wont nervous knowing you have accompany.. LOL..

My husband's current job started with a 'group interview'. It was supposed to be a large group of applicants and one hiring manager. It ended up being a handful of guys, half of whom were respectfully asked to leave before the interview had really begun (the manager was very specific about the requirements of the job). It wasn't a bank though, it was a company that manages real estate properties. They also intended to hire two new employees from the interview.

*Remember, always ask questions in an interview.

Try glassdoor.com, there are the interview reviews by the candidates that had experience in the interview of many companies.

or google with keywords "position X of company Y interview reviews", you will find a lot of information there.
