Yeah VSC is taking forever if seems but I think things will turn around soon. Yeah we are at Cali! Would be nice to get an approval early but it is quite daunting as I never planned to be moving out there realistically till like February.... X

Thanks for that - Is it just a case of visiting my local police dept. and requesting one? (I know I am being lazy and could just look online!)

We're Vermont too. It's showing our estimated approval between December 6 - 11. Our NOA1 date was 06/11, so that's 6 months. :-(

Simon's been here since the end of May, but he is headed back home next week. It's going to be a rough 6ish months.

Let's hope Vermont picks up the pace. I wonder too if the Olympics being in London have slowed the process for UK recipients.

I know! they need to pick up the pace!! I really hope they do soon and our averages go down - its so disheartening to see it! I have a visit to the States coming up in a couple of weeks, just for one week though booo work, and he is hoping to come here in Nov for a week over Thanksgiving. So hard with work though to be able to visit! We havent spent more than three weeks together at a time since Feb 2011! enjoy your last week together - stay strong we will all get there eventually! x

Im from near Birmingham. Hopefully things will pick up for us soon, they seem to fluctuate a lot looking at the graphs. Do you have everything ready for the interview? x

No not at all! Not even looked at forms for next stage yet. The financial stuff looks straight forward. I'm ordering my overseas police check next week cause I know that's going to take forever. I'll order my UK one nearer the time. Really can't bare how long this process is and how I'm expected to be out of work for a couple of months when I get there

Your guys are to follow! Its so random cause yesterday I decided to download all the DS forms I will need for interview and start getting to know them, then we got the text at 8pm last night! It's like I knew it was coming or something! I think about 50% of Mays have been approved already so they should start getting more and more June petitions up there too soon!

Well I feel kinda officially engaged now and we've started looking at venues and such in Las Vegas and San Diego (can't decide!) and I might even start looking at wedding dresses but that is just too scary to even contemplate right now. HA!

Best of luck to all you June-filers and lets hope VSC does the decent thing and hires some more staff to deal with the current situation. I really feel for those guys who have been waiting since February and have heard nothing, it doesnt seem right at all!

I'll be keeping an eye out for your guys approvals!!

Yeah I guess when you apply for visa at embassy they would have full access to any criminal info under your name, those guys know everything! Lol.

Not done much planning and can't leave the states till tomorrow now as my flight to Paris was full

Still looking at venues but we are trying to keep costs down so who knows?

I'm confident with all the forms now I just have to get my police check from Bahrain and I'm good to go! My main concern is my ability to find a job when I'm here I'm on the lookout now! We've just adopted a cat so that's keeping us both very occupied - practise for a baby I keep saying. Ha!
