The Relationship doesnt have to be 2 years, the requirement is that you have met at least once in the last 2 years :-)

There is not a relationship length/time requirement. The only requirement is you having to have of met in the last 2 years.

I interviewed on May 24th and it wasn't even asked, our official relationship was about a year. But the most important is that you show proof that you have visited twice or more in 2 years and prove that you are a real couple. You will probably have a Stokes Interview,(Google it) so be prepared. We had a stokes interview.

Yes, for the I-129F petition to be approved you only need to have met in person once, but it is a different story for getting the K-1 visa approved at certain consulates. One visit might not be enough depending on how high or low fraud and strict the consulate is you interview at. People that have already gone through the consulate in DR would best be able to help the OP. They should read through the regional forum for DR and the reviews of those that have already gone through there.
