NVC has not received AOS package!

Hi,

I received an email from the NVC today and there was a checklist cover letter attached to it. The attachment said that, while they have received the DS-230 package, they have not yet received the AOS package and they are requesting it to be mailed out.

Now here's why I dont understand why i received this email. Both the DS-230 and the AOS package were mailed out the same day via fedex. And both packages were delivered and received by the NVC as per the tracking number on the fedex receipt. So I dont understand why they would be stating that they have not yet received it and would be requesting for it to be sent again.

Any help or advice on the situation would be greatly appreciated!

Don't worry too much about NVC's email about not received the packet.

I, too, received that email. As long as you sent them, tracked them and they were delivered...you're fine. Give them some time to update the status in their system.

That's a relief to hear! I had a feeling that it might have been a false checklist too but i wasnt completely sure. There isn't any need to contact them and provide them with the fedex tracking number for proof is there?

It might be a FALSE...but contact them and resolve the issue.

If i am not wrong, you sent the AOS and DS230 packages seperately via fedex. If so, you are really in good shape. You can show them that both packages were delivered. Until you hear from them that they received and reviewing your AOS package, you have to follow up. Keep in mind its GOVERNMENT way, nothing about whether you are Right or Wrong....it is frustrating but it is what is.....

AOS and IV packages go to different departments, so they aren't processed together. You can call, but most likely, they'll only tell you to ignore the checklist if you already sent it and give them 20 business days to review packages once they are accepted.

10/01/11 - Filed (2) I-130's

10/04/11 - NOA-1

04/05/12 - NOA-2

Your I-130 was approved in 184 days from your NOA1 date.

NVC

04/23/12 - NVC received both cases (18 days/12 business days from NOA-2)

05/07/12 - Case numbers and IIN's (14 days/10 business days since NVC received)

05/07/12 - Sent out DS-3032 by email; auto-response received
