I receiived my interview letter in the mail today and there is a whole lot of things I must bring.Im so nervous.My husband doesnt have his birth cert and there is nothing that we share.We live together,but my name is not on the lease.The only thing we have that proves our relationship is real is the fact that we have a kid and we also have pictures.Im also nervouse b/c we sent his income tax return for the most recent years...but he did not file this yr b/c of his laxk of knowlegde of how to file as a freelancer.I am so stressed.We have joint sponsor and I have a job now.Will that help any?

04/11/2012 Sent AOS Package to Chicago Lockbox

04/17/2012 NOA recieved

Comingling of finances is one of the big things. Supplying evidence that you share the same address is also important.

Yes, pieces of mail can show that you both live at the same residence. For example, your husband has a cell water bill that gets sent to the "joint" address and you have a monthly magazine or gym membership that gets sent to the same joint address-- you can bring both of those pieces of mail to your interview and that shows that you both live and receive mail there.

Do you have a cell phone? Are you on a family plan? If so, bring that, if not-- then you must have a separate plan-- in this case you will both have separate phone bills, but both going to the same address.

The USCIS understands that newly weds do not have a lot of joint-finances, even more when the immigrant cannot be added to certain things. They know this.

Day 13: 03/09/12: NOA1s received for Forms: I-130, I-485 & I-765. Biometrics letter also received and scheduled for March 27th.

Day 24: 03/20/12: Email notification for RFE.

Day 27: 03/23/12: Hardcopy RFE received in the mail.

It might be too late, but he could try filing for an extension for 2011. That would give him until October to file. I think you might get an RFE at the interview if he hasn't filed and doesn't have a good reason why he didn't.

Individual Extensions still need to be filed before the last day, which was April 17th.
