Dear Everyone,

Good day everyone!!! Would like to ask your opinion if it is safe to apply for adjustment of status after getting married in the church in our home country outside US (Phils). If ever my fiancee will come here using her tourist visa after wedding, will it be a question if we will just apply AOS from tourist visa to spouse visa since we already got married? Any thoughts about this? Thanks

I need your enlightenment. We are still undecided what to follow. Our other option is for her to come this summer in the US and get married civilly and she comes home, and I will apply a spouse visa while she is waiting in the Phils.

How long will it take to get the marriage certificate after the civil wedding in the US ( MD)?

Your opinion or any experience re: this matter will help us a lot. More power

Entering the US with a visitors visa with intent to immigrate is illegal. Depending on what they ask when you entered you could set yourself up for a lifetime ban. The correct way is to apply for the I130 and wait it out.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate it!
