Hello Fellow VJers!! This is my first time posting here but I have been lurking for a while. I submitted my AOS application on June 4 2012 and today was our interview date and we were approved!!! I am so happy. I hope we have more approvals soon. My EAD went into production on August 10 2012 but I will only have it for a little while before I have to destroy it because my GC Went into production right after our interview. My husband was great. He did most of the talking. We had an appointment at 10:30 we showed up at our Interview location in Irving Texas at 10:00 as per the instructions. Im glad we did because we got called at 10:25 and was interviewed by an older gentlemen in his late 50's. We bought everything we could bring, Lease agreement, Photos of wedding, engagement, baby shower, baby's birth, Christmas photos, birthday party photos, credit card statements, health insurance card, christmas cards and birthday cards and wedding cards and facebook photos with comments and everything else you can imagine. WE HAD 200 Photos!! He never even asked to see any of it. He just looked at one wedding party photo and one hospital photo of when our daughter was born. He asked my husband most of the questions. These are the questions he asked.

...

Congratulations. Do not destroy the EAD in case there's an error with the GC and you have to return it. I believe the EAD could be helpful in that scenario; if not, it's always a cute souvenir.

Just got my EAD card.. Seems like it's the same thing for AP, on the bottom there was a line saying that it is for advanced parole too

Congrats!

Seeing you having to do the whole process over again and going through RFE and stuff makes me want to stay in the US and not leave more than a year until I get the citizenship. I will definitely not do that AOS thing all over again!

Congrats for your interview, it ended up being quite quick for you too then :)

Yes I know.

But I wanted my kids soo bad in my country and it was time for me to go home, coudn't wait any longer especially that after the 2 years green card they added one more year to it so I coud't become a USC after 2 years so I just left!!!

I have no regret though!! It was just my timing......

To MishyB

Wow just done reading your interview experience its really helpful coz this the first I learned that they asked about the sitting President in spouse's country..very interesting though...again congrats

I would have been screwed!!! I know nothing about my home country's president... or my permanent resident country. I have been away for the past 3 years for my masters here, and 3 years before that at another country doing my undergrad... if they asked me about China's, i haven't been there for like more than 10 years! and if they asked me about Philippines, I haven't been there for at least 7 years or so. OH WELL!! Time to do some research!!!

I never knew they did either. That one threw my hubby for a loop he had to think really hard but he eventually remembered. It was nerve wrecking. The interview was about 35 minutes long but it felt like an hour.

Both of us won't know the answer... xD Good job to both of you!!! Time to prepare!

Sorry I haven't been online posting much. Been a bit excited about finding a DCR pool that I could go, isn't too far from us, and FREE!! So I have been going there 3x this week. And boy, am I super tan now. I was trying to master the dolphin kick swim, because I was so inspired to swim like a mermaid.. lol.

:ot: :ot: :ot:

@slidingdoors: I have figured out how to make the link public, but only to the people who have the link. And anyone can edit it. It is arranged right now according to the date people filled. Just put it back the way it was when you're down moving people around? =D I'm OC on that too. That's all.

If I missed anyone's update, feel free to add it yourself.

Good luck to everyone's journey!!!!!!
