A friend of mine takes it. He's much, much better while taking it than not. If you use the pill/capsule form, it takes much more than you would think it would. It ain't like drugs.

If you're serious about "alternative" medicine (ie: what everyone used before modern drugs were invented), you might want to check out/ask questions on my forum: http://www.pagan.us/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi

Don't be scared.... pagans don't bite. Usually. LOL

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Tried it more than once and it did nothing for me except made me gain weight and feel

drowsy all the time.

Try taking a long walk - that's right - chances are if you're feeling all anxious etc you are very introverted, taking a walk and looking all around you will extrovert your attention and make you feel better.

Yes. When I'm feeling the anxiety, I hit the gym and especially after doing some type of aerobic activity, I feel very relaxed. But I was thinking more for my teenage daughter who has been depressed. I'd rather try an alternative to putting her on any prescription.

now now that's not entirely true ;)

I use a product called Mood Plus from Watkins, it works better than others I've tried, but not as quickly or as effectively as presciption anti-depressants. It actually wont eliminate depression if you are severely or even moderately and chronically depressed. But it may help.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

You might also want to look at nutrition -- eating things that are high in omega-3s, selenium (things like fish, seeds and nuts) or taking a mutli-vitamin that contains folate.

Thanks. I know her nutrition definitely is having an impact on how she feels emotionally.

St. John's Wort freaks me out because it always seems to be counterindicated with so many drugs.

Steven, is your daughter getting enough exercise?

Being a teenage girl is really tough. I hope she is able to find something to make it easier.
