My child entered the US thru IR-2, whats next

Me & my child (both uner IR-1 & IR-2 respectively) arrived in the US two weeks ago. My question is, what are the necessary steps that we have to take for him to acquire US citizenship? I understand that once he entered the US soil he will automatically becomes a USC. But do we have to file it to USCIS inorder for us to hold a document that he is indeed a full pledge USC?

Thanks for your replies,

Best regards,

If you have an IR-1 visa he obviously isn't getting citizenship from you, so the question is whether your spouse (the USC) is the child's father?

I am the USC, husband is adjusting from B2.
