I was just wondering . . . I know that they are interested in photos of you and your financee together to show proof . . . I do have a few . . but for my interview can I take my video camera which has tons of footage on it. And it would show the dates that it was filmed on. Is this permissible? Has anyone done this? Thank you for your time and replies. Vickie

No, the video camera is not allowed into the Embassy. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Welcome to the forum.

For security purposes, generally, electronic devices of any kind are not permitted in the embassy/consulate.

I doubt they'll let you in with a video camera. However, you could always bring it just in case. Worst case I guess the guards will hang onto it until you're done.

What I would do as a backup is get some screen shots from the footage, and print them out. You could use that for evidence, and you can then also explain that you have the actual footage on your camera which is being kept outside.

wow, that is a great suggestion . .I have about 4 cassettes full of stuff . . I will get the screen shots of a few and take those . . . and if they want to see the entire image I will have that available.

DO NOT take this to the embassy, you will not be able to take this in or provide any evidence via this device. You need to have physical photos that can be pass under the window to the consulate. Good Luck.
