I'm thinking this is a sort of silly question but wanted to double check.

I looked through the board but didn't see a definite clear answer on this.

Let's say we're gonna leave in NYC and have a ceremony there, then can my POE be LAX or San Fransisco? or POE has to be JFK or La Guardia?

Thanks!!

Your point of entry will be the first stop that you make in the United States whether it is New Tork or LA. If you plan to stop in New Youk that will be your first point of entry into the US so that is where you will go through Immigration. If your entry point is California that is where you will go through Immigration. Once you go through immigration you can travel anywhere you want to go in the US.

POE stands for Port of Entry. It has absolutely nothing to do with where you plan to marry, and everything to do with where you enter in the US first.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
