Had my biometrics taken today. Took a WHOLE 10 minutes. They were really nice too :)

08/04/2010 - Green Card received (and it's actually green!)

05/30/2012 - Sent ROC packet to VSC

Do a search, but I'm pretty sure they won't do anything unless it's been at least 30 days to even put in a service request. Some of the earlier months this past spring took a long time to get bio appointments. It also might have to do with your area, if it's really busy. Did it take a long time to get biometrics when you applied for AOS?

New to the party, filed in June, just got the biometrics appointment letter today. Filed on behalf of my wife, and the application actually got there on 6/7/2012 with her card anniversary date of 9/7/2012. I put the envelope in on the evening of the 6th and the postoffice was super efficient. They got it there the next morning (I was figuring it wouldn't get there until the evening) so they sent the entire package back. Resubmitted the next day with an updated cover letter and got the NOA1 on the date below.

Then I got a letter that said it shouldn't have gotten there before 6/7/2012 (three calendar months before the expiration of her card). Yes, that's right, it got there on the "not before" date and they sent it back. No, I wasn't a happy camper, but be taht as it may, they accepted it the second time and were down-right speedy with the processing.

Anyway, here's my "June Filer" data...

We got an interview date for Removing Conditions on 7/30/2012. Should be easy, but still nervous, a stranger holds the key to my happiness.

07/19/2003 - Met here in the US and just clicked

05/2004 through 08/2009 - many trips back and forth by both of us, phone calls, care packages, etc.

02/14/2008 - Engaged (she was here in the US for Valentines Day so I figured make it official :))

11/21/2009 - Married with a few friends and some family in attendence.

CR1 Timeline:

01/12/2010 - I-130 Packet Sent

<interviening stuff deleted as signature is finite in length>

08/30/2010 - Interview completed, visa granted.

08/31/2010 - Visa in hand!

09/07/2010 - Arriving Seattle.

09/17/2010 - Received SSN.

10/01/2010 - Received green card.

Removal of Conditions:

06/06/2012 - Mailed I-751

06/12/2012 - Got back I-751 as "too early"

06/13/2012 - Re-mailed I-751

06/18/2012 - NOA1

07/13/2012 - Biometrics Appointment letter received (scheduled for 08/06/2012)

08/06/2012 - Biometrics completed.

btw, maybe this is me being super maudy...but I was quite disappointed to see that the bio appointment letter was on standard paper and no colorful green/red/yellow print like they do on the NOAs, etc.

If I'm paying them $500 to wait 10 months for a process that will take them 20 minutes, YES, I WANT A PRETTY PAPER :bonk:
