I think they're sending these emails to all of us. 6 months it is a long time though.

This sounds like they think you lied about something on paperwork.

post is attempting to independently verify certain information presented at the time of her interview and in subsequent submissions.

Did you have previous tourist or student visas denied? Did you lie and say you were single?

I never seen them admit they were trying to verify a few submitted evidences

Good Luck

Yes, I did. I like this response better than the one I got. I think these emails are sent to everyone who asks about AP, it depends on what day they receive our emails.

I had a dream last night, you were telling me that I was getting my visa in a few days because your fiancee got hers and we were interviewed on the same day. I HOPE this dream comes true :-)

Amen to that. This waiting is driving me nuts. Sometimes I think we should go ahead & get married & start the process all over using IR/CR.

In a couple of weeks, I will be contacting my congressman/senator as it will be pretty close to 60 days timeline as posted on DOS website. This forum works as a more than a forum and as a counseling session where I can see that we are not the only ones in this boat.

I am always browsing VJ website anytime I start thinking too much about this process. Funny thing is I am get calm after I read posts similar to mine.

Just a happy couple!

Oh gosh! So, they didn't give you the Visa? Well it seems that AP is over when you submit the PCC, you can get the PCC in a day, submitted and then in 1-2 weeks or even earlier they'll give you the Visa. God Willing. GOOD LUCK! Keeps us posted. We're all in the same situation.

before tht regarding PC they did not ask you. you are married or unmarried. in these days they ask for it.

in passport office guy told us if you want get unmarried PC you can get in 1 day but you want married then its gone take 1 month.

also my husband passport issue in 2008 and we got married after 1 year. on his passport don't have wife name because tht time his unmarried.

so i don't know what to do. if we put married on PC then we have to put my name on his passport. if put unmarried then same passport can use.

We received this exact same response on June 7, 2012. We were originally denied in January 2012, (NOT AP and they did not keep his passport) and when inquiring why we hadn't heard from the USCIS regarding an NOIR/NOID, we were told in April that our case was pending under 221g, so we're a little surprised and not sure what's going on. I've had my state rep make 2 more inquiries after that - in May and June and the above is what we received in June. The response we received in May was the same as mira1123. So, it's now 6 months for us too and we're waiting and waiting. I call the DOS every 2 weeks - same answers. Nothing new. We're just baffled that the denial has turned around to a 221g. My fiance was put through a very, very tough 8 hour interview and they pretty much told him he was going to be banned (even though the consulate does not have that power). We're trying to stay positive that maybe someone decided to look into our case and hopefully we get this overturned somehow or a 2nd interview or something resulting in visa being issued!

Best of luck to all of you and us on our journeys.
