Hi everyone!!!.....I'm having my b2 interview thursday and I'm nervous! What do u think is my chance of approval? I'm in jamaica btw. I'm a universtity student and would like to visit the US for a wedding and shopping in june...school is the only thing I have as a "tie" I'm starting my 3rd year in august....its just a regular trip as those fortunate individuals who travel for summer holidays. What do u think?

Still 50/50. You will have to meet the criterias on your own merit. Famuly members will have absolutly no bearing on this interview. This interview is all about you and what wuill make you return to Jamaica if they gave you the opportunity to go to the US.

Better to be able to pay your own way.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Which is basically just school :( thanks though!

Go to the interview with a postive attitude, never know what may happen. This is your first real test to be interviwed for something/job/visa inwhich you don't have all of the criterias for. Look the interview in the eye and speak clearly and truthfully.

Good Luck.

It seem to be sticky every where...it makes no sense buying a ticket without a visa,my sister is getting married,in a good job.they will be taking care of the trip. She even wanted me to take part in the wedding. Should I mention that in the interview? Traveling to new york.and I'm also promised "shopping" for school.

Shaveon, forget the advise that WAS POSTED by the previous poster, all wrong information. Just go to the interview, you can take a copy of the wedding invite.
