I have been selected for DV2013. What are the steps to follow after being selected in DV lottery 2013 announced in May 01, 2012?

- Status checked in travel.state website and found out that selected for DV2013 lottery

- Currently in united states in H1B work visa.

The Kentucky Consular Center no longer mails notification letters and does not use email to notify DV entrants of their selection in the DV program. (from website) . What we obtain is an enotification while checking the status with confirmation number.

In the e-notification after checking the DV result, the instruction given for Adjustment of status is not clear. Like: where to contact KC centre or USCIS, what documents to send, which form to fill, when to send document.

So what should be the next step? I have to file for my spouse as well. PLEASE HELP. TOTALLY LOST!

Info for selectees has info how to contact the KCC. Definitely get in touch with them about the next steps - they're very helpful.

The catch with AOS as well as with regular interview at the embassy is that you have to wait for your number to be current. In your case, you can only mail AOS when visa bulletin shows your number is current. They do advance notices for DV numbers - they list the numbers in the next month that will be current - so make sure to always check the most current visa bulletin starting with September 2012:

Since you're on H1B, make sure you remain in status until you get the green card. You can't AOS if you don't have a valid status and overstays are not forgiven as part of DV procedure.

I imagine you'd submit the form for DV winners DS-122 and AOS form I-485, do the medical with civil surgeon, provide required pictures, do biometrics, pay the fees (DV and AOS fee). May want to include free G-1145 for status updates with USCIS (works most of the time).

Review this website: http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4762.html It says to bring your eligibility confirmation to your local USCIS office and not to contact the KCC.
