My POE was april 27th in Atlanta, Georgia. I heard most people at least receive a welcome letter before the actual green card. When should I be worried and contact uscis about not receiving anything?

But if you have selected under DS230 that you want to receive your SS card at home then can you still go to the office and apply?

Yes we checked we wanted the SSN on the DS-230 but I heard some stories of it taking too long so we went in person 5 days after arrival. And the Homeland security had his name spelled wrong and we were able to fix this problem before his card was sent to him.
