Ok so we are always saying what we miss from Canada, how about things we did not have in Canada that we have now.

I like that I can guy shredded/grated cheese for next to nothing. It was so expensive back home.

Today I found cotton candy and bubble gum powder flavor for milk....gross for me but the kids will like it lol.

Cool ice cream flavors I had never seen.

I also love that the products I used to see on tv and knew were only in the US....would be a long time until we saw them in Canada....are actually in the store! lol

There is also so much more to do in Phoenix than there was in Sask. Zoos, amusement park, water parks and a million other things.

Groceries are so much cheaper here ... I am still amazed when the wife and I go grocery shopping and we end up with a full basket (gotta call it a basket as my wife gives me a hard time when I call it a buggie) and I usually think to myself how much it is going to be and always seems like it is half the price than I would expect back in Canada ...

Also, the price of gas ... I find it amazing when people were complaining when it got up to $3.00 a gallon ...

Walgreens drive thru also amazes me :)

The whole banking thing is different here ... They seem to use tellers alot here ... Even when you go to the drive thu to deposit checks you are dealing with a teller rather than just sticking it in the bank machine ...

And I also agree, it is nice to see all the new products on TV and to know that it is already available to you if you choose ...

Starbucks and coffee counters with desserts and sandwiches in bookstores - what a nice way to spend a few hours - browsing through interesting books while enjoying a coffee;

mexican food restaurants:-) - actually a wide variety of ethnic food restaurants. We love Thai and Indian.

Rural style mailboxes at the foot of the driveway in new subdivisions so mailmen can drive up and deliver the mail instead of mailboxes at the top of the subdivision. Oh, and Saturday mail delivery - cool.

Craig loved Panera the first time he came down here.

We literally ate there 3 times in 3 days!

Once he gets down here for good, I'll slowly ween him off of the high-priced chain and find him a cheaper, better-quality local deli. :)

OH! And Newcastle in bottles! Newcastle in cans just tastes......aluminummmmy!

Wine from Walmart.

Huge varieties of yummy pre-made pre-cut cookie dough. Canada's choices are chocolate chip or chocolate chunk. Or chocolate chip and chunk.

You've been gone too long, Kathryn! We have those now.

Ah, there were no Chapters in the area in which I lived so that must explain it!

Still like that Saturday mail delivery though!

Haha,

I was just commenting to my husband earlier that it's amazing that shredded cheese is the same price per ounce as regular cheese is!

I will sneak in here though that I really, really, really would like a Tim Horton's Coffee.

I might drive to R.I., where I hear they have one in the near future just for that. It's been too long.
