Received NOA2 email notification on 5/4/12. Called back again today to see if Case number yet. No Case number but it was actually7 received by NVC on 5/7/12 that following Monday not on 5/9/12 as originally thought. Even better, but now it's the case number I am waiting for and who knows how long that may take. Just going to keep calling every couple of days though!

I wonder why there is such a variation of when a case gets to NVC? It is really weird. For myself I would like to say my theory is.... Mines was approved on a Friday and possibly very few were approved that day and there was probably a small shipment to send out to NVC.

it took about 2 weeks from the text for me to get a case# from NVC..just hold on they get the ppw then have to put it in the system which takes couple days but you will get it then the next day they mail it of off to jamaica embassy.

Wow, lucky for you NVC received your files only shortly after NOA-2. Ours took 2 and a half weeks to be received, and another 2 weeks to be assigned case numbers.

While we were still waiting for our case numbers though, we did have some inconsistencies about when they received our files. Most of the time, we were told April 23, but two different operators have told us April 25.
