It hard to say. Sometimes they mail it within a few days and sometimes in a week or two.

I sent the DS-230 overnight since my fiance was not in Jamaica at that time and it took them two weeks to acknowledge it.

Have patience or you will drive yourself crazy.

If you go into the gerneral topic area and look for the regional thread click on latin america/caribbean and you will see a link called yardies. It is all about people going through the Jamaican Embassy. Great information.

WE ARE DONE!!!

It can take a month or more for the embassy to send the letter. You might try to have your fiance go to teh embassy with a copy of the NVC notice as well as the NOA2 and his passport. They should let him in to pick up his packet.

Good luck!

Thank you so much. I will have him go to the embassy. I sent him a copy of the NVC approval and i filled out the 230 form and went on line and filled out the 156. I may seem pushy but i want my man here.

This situation happen to me but a little different than your case. The Cairo Embassy sent my fiance's information visa application packet ( packet 3) to him on August 31. He has not recieved it at all and i had him go to the Embassy they told him to email them and they would send him another. At this point i was very upset because he was right there and they just could have given it to him. So i had to email them a dozen times they finally sent me an email and stated they would resend the packet to him again. And i even have a lawyer who should have not that. Maybe i am wrong but i thought that was my Lawyers's job. YEAH RIGHT!!!!! he worthless i have done everything thus far by MYSELF!!!! without his help. But make sure you stay on top of things some Embassy's are not as reliable as others. Good luck!!!
