Argh the camel.....I rode one - for 4 days in the Sahara. Umm let's say it was not my favorite part of the trip and while the first day wasn't so bad it got less exciting. We slept in tents in the Sahara, rode the camels in the day blah blah. It was cold and windy. Much to my shagrin camels don't like sand and avoid dunes at all costs, so it makes the ride quite long. Also they are not very agile. It's worse than riding a horse, the next day I hurt so bad and there was still 3 more days of camel riding. So while sleeping under the stars in the Sahara was beautiful (but cold) the camel ride was not. I wish we would have stayed in Marrakech!
