i am an LPR since 3-30-2009 now we travelled last march then this month our trip is already booked.

now i am aware that i can file for US CITIZENSHIP before 3-30-2012 but because of the trips we had i decided not to file

my question is can i still file within this year probably between sept to nov? or do i have to wait for the 5 years window?

Yes. You can apply base on 3 years marriage to a USC. Good luck!

Looking at your timeline I saw that you came here as K1. Based on that I am assuming that you have a 2yr conditional card. When did you apply for ROC?You need to have the conditions removed in your GC before filing for citizenship. If you already did that's great!!

I took 4 trips outside the US before filing my N400. The last trip was a week before i filed. It is OK as long as a single trip doesn't exceed 6months. And of course you must have been physically present in the United States for 18 months out of the 3 years.

Goodluck!

I've heard different responses for questions on trip section of N-400. I was planning to go the route of crossing out "5" and replacing with "3" years since I have been a conditional/permanent (LPR) resident for over 3 years (via marriage).

My question is, do I list trips, etc for last 3 years of the N-400 filing date or include any trips since becoming a LPR?
