Is there a particular reason you need a one way ticket? And for when in the year?

I can find return tickets from Nigeria (LOS) to Chicago (ORD) for around $1400 for next month on kayak.com

I wanted to get a headstart on a reasonable price ticket for my fiance when its time for him to come over. I never checked for LOS since he lives in Abuja but he does have family in Lagos so maybe he will fly out from there since its a big price difference and we can save sum money. Thanks for the info.

You can also purchase round trip flights as most of the time they are cheaper. Once he is here you can just call the airline and cancel the return flight.

With almost certain AP it is hard to figure out when he would be travelling. Nigerian travel has patterns for prices , the cheapest is in Feb. The most expensive is holidays followed by the summer months. Sometimes a week can make a huge difference.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

So u r saying anytime during these next few months is going to be expensive? He said he could fly out from Lagos since it will be cheaper than if he leaves out from Abuja.

Look into using frequent flyer miles that you may have, but forgotten about. Sometimes they are accrued via Debit/Credit cards. I flew my husband on Continental from Lagos to Ohio using these (forgot I even had them). I got him a one way ticket with the only cash I had to pay was a fee of $115.00 <<PraiseGod >>
