The recent decrease in filing fees applied to the visa application fee, not the I-130 fee. Note that the relative visa process happens in two steps: (1) filing of the I-130 petition to USCIS, and (2) submission of the visa application, which happens after the petition is approved and a visa is available. The I-864 will be submitted with the visa application.

Read the instructions for filing I-130 and the I-130 guide here. You will need to submit documentation supporting the I-130.

Thank you all for the reply...

And just wanted to know, Is it a stand alone i-130 or is it together with the Affidavit of Support? And can somebody help me understand for the Poverty line, If I reach the quota to file for a petition and I don't have any assets does it matter? or it is okay, as long I have the 125% for the poverty guidelines?

Thank you.

You don't need assets. You can include them if you don't meet the 125% but if you do they are unnecessary. Not sure about your other question, sorry.

No, you don't file the affidavit of support until the I-130 is approved and a visa is available. The affidavit of support is submitted to the consulate with the beneficiary's visa application.

If you meet the poverty guidelines for your household size, assets are not relevant and that section can be left blank.
