My wife got her temp drivers license for Florida and then two weeks later we got a letter saying that her info was not matching with her info that the SAFE system had for her and to go to USCIS and have it fixed.

Thanks to this web site I was able to search out this topic - find other folks who have gone through this - post an info pass appointment for the 15th of this month - hopefully that will do the trick.

Just when you think you might be done with the USCIS for awhile - they force you back in.....

Exact same thing happened to me, they never updated my new (married) last name in their system even though my GC had it right... Had to make an info pass appointment, drove 1.5 hr to get there and back and they fixed it in 1 min...

We had similar issue with Social Security, but they were smart enough to hold it till USCIS up dated their system even though we had a green card with a married name.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

CBP secondary offices / deferred inspection offices can fix errors in the SAVE system. (typos, mis-spellings)

Just go in person, no appointment needed.

However - if she applied in a name that doesn't match, 100 percent, her VISA name,

then she's gonna have problems that will just grind on and on and on.

Does she have her greencard yet? Was there any name change on her lastname ?

What's what, for names on visa vs names on DL application?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Yes she has her green card with her married name on it - same with her SS card - so I'm not sure what the exact mistake is - hopefully we'll find out next week when we go.

ah - then is no match in SAVE database. grrr. an infopass appointment CAN fix that one, thankfully, and in almost real time. do expect another week, though, after the USCIS human 'push the button' in front you - SAVE is a batch system, especially for updates.

Yeah, SAVE is not really gonna do much. I went there first and after waiting about 1 week for them to fix it, they only put a note in the system that it was "ok to issue DL" (the DMV employee told me), so I got it and later when I tried renewing my license with my GC DMV couldn't issue a second one cause the error was still there so this time they sent me straight to USCIS and got it fixed. Moral of the story: Save your trip to SAVE and indeed go to USCIS, they will fix it immediately.
