I received all three hard copies of NOA yesterday in the mail and no biometrics appointment either. the I-485 NOA just states i should receive it in the mail later on....Hopefully this arrives soon...

I received three hard copies yesterday too. The one I got last Friday was the appointment notice for my biometrics. I had to reschedule my appointment though. :crying:

I hope you will get your appointment notice soon!

Before rescheduling your biometrics for a more convenient date, I would suggest to try an early walk-in. Not all centers allow walk-in but both the Wheaton and Alexandria centers in the Washington, DC area will allow it. In Wade<3Emmy's case, it might be too late because they already sent the notice letter back.

Hey, guys! I am new to the forum, although the website helped me TREMENDOUSLY with sending all the paperwork for my AOS :) .

Although we did send it with our I-864, it seems USCIS lost the certified copy of the birth certificate of our co-sponsor and sent us a letter asking us for proof of citizenship. Our co-sponsor lives in a different city and we were wondering if we can submit a simple photocopy of his birth certificate or if it needs to be a certified one. The filling instruction on USCIS doesn`t specify that it needs to be a certified one, like it does for form I-130, so we were thinking that it would be ok, but... USCIS terrifies me way too much to just send it and not think about it twice :).

Thanks !

I would be really pissed off if it happened to me...A photocopy of his birth certificate will do. Good luck :)

Like Hoody said, a simple copy of the birth certificate will do but you will need to bring the actual document (or a certified copy) to the interview when you get to that milestone. Good luck!
