Some people said it won't expedite your case but it also did for others. I'd say give it a shot, there's nothing to lose.

Good luck :)

Went on Wednesday to Phoenix ASC to try a walk-n but failed. They said they dont allow walk-ins

Hello guys! Just got back from 4-night stay including my biometrics appointment. The transfer notice was in the mail yesterday and on our way back home today I received text message on an update on our case. So my I-485 application is transferred in CSC... Good luck to all of us!

Congratulations! Did they transfer your case before your biometrics appointment?

Aw, I am sorry to hear that =/

Yes. Got a "touch" on my case on June 1 saying it was transferred to another office, biometrics was on June 4 then on June 6 Transfer notice was in the mail indicating it is transferred to CSC.

That just means a case may be processed either before or after the biometrics appointment. An early appointment doesn't really guarantee faster processing otherwise everyone wouldn't be following the schedule

so, is that one of the steps of this process that they transfer our files after the biometrics? My initial status says that my case is being processed in NBC, does that mean that it will be processed there until the end or will they transfer it to my local NY center?

I have a question, any thoughts are appreciated

I need to fly to FL in July and my license had expired and I can't renew it until I get my EAD which I don't think it is going to happen by July, do you think it is safe to fly within the US on my foreign passport?

Anything new anyone

I got a notification last night, stating that CSC received my I-485 already and they are now processing it.

NBC accepts all the AOS applications. They either forward it to the local USCIS in your area or to CSC, for further processing.

Just have your NOA for I-130 & I-485 together with your passport as you travel, though i doubt anyone will ask you anything within the US.

Once USCIS issues a NOA,you are technically legally in the US ,unless and until they turn down your petition later.
