Hey people.. i finally received a letter from the US embassy.. it stated that i can schedule my interview anytime this week. God is really good.

One more thing.. please help me what to do next...

We are almost there

Are you done with NVC? Or did you request for an expedite?

USCIS

10/01/11 - Filed (2) I-130's

10/04/11 - NOA-1

04/05/12 - NOA-2

Your I-130 was approved in 184 days from your NOA1 date.

NVC

04/23/12 - NVC received both cases (18 days/12 business days from NOA-2)

05/07/12 - Case numbers and IIN's (14 days/10 business days since NVC received)

05/07/12 - Sent out DS-3032 by email; auto-response received

05/08/12 - AOS fee invoiced, paid - "IN PROCESS"

05/09/12 - AOS fee shows as "PAID"

05/10/12 - Spouse's DS-3032 accepted; minor child's rejected = had petitioner call NVC = received verbal acceptance from operator

05/11/12 - Spouse's IV fee invoiced

05/14/12 - Daughter's IV fee invoiced, paid both IV fees - "IN PROCESS"

05/15/12 - Both IV fees show as "PAID"

05/16/12 - Sent both AOS and both IV packages to NVC via USPS (expected delivery: 05/19/12)

05/21/12 - All 4 packages delivered

05/30/12 - Received checklist for daughter's AOS

05/31/12 - Sent response to checklist via USPS (expected delivery: 06/01/12); Spouse's case completed

yes i finally received the letter this morning.. no we didnt expedite our papers... it's pretty fast.. right now.. i had no idea what to do next.. it says that i should call the consular here.. or better yet i can ask my husband to pay everything in US

What letter did you receive? I'm confused. Normally, spousal visa filers still go through NVC to pay the appropriate fees and submit the AOS ans IV application documents.

oh wow!! how did you do that?? done with NVC? congrats!!! its kinda confusing though that they stated you can schedule your interview. well if you are to schedule an interview call us embassy or you can do it also online.

would really appreciate if you can add your timeline :)

09.14.11 - sent I-130 for Mother

04.05.12 - NOA2(approved)

04.23.12 - NVC received

05.08.12 - NVC case#, IIN, BIN assigned

What letter did you receive? I'm confused. Normally, spousal visa filers still go through NVC to pay the appropriate fees and submit the AOS ans IV application documents.

I myself confused too.. i know that my husband need to pay something first before i received a letter from the consular.. it stated on the letter that i am eligible to be scheduled for a visa interview .. and i must pay the visa fee before i can schedule a visa appointment..

Your received it through postal mail? That's how it works for K1 or DCF filers, but for IR-1/CR-1, the NVC is the one who schedules the interviews for us. Or the embassy, I think, if expedited.

Yah i received it thru postal mail.. i even got my case number too... i dunno if my husband expedited our paper.... cuz i am really shocked and surprised.

Hmm, I don't really know what's happening here.

Actually - I was expedited and I got the letter to schedule my own interview. You just log onto the website the letter says to go to, and you pick a date. Super simple.

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png
06/09/2012 - POE @ YWG (Winnipeg Int'l Airport)

Removal of Conditions submitted March 24, 2014, received March 26, 2014

"RFE" for page 3 of application received, date March 27, 2014. Package re-submitted with all papers re-attached.

04/07/2014 - NOA1 Date

05/07/2014 - Biometrics in Charlotte, NC

11/05/2014 - APPROVED! Citizenship in 5 months!

11/10/2014 - NOA2 in hand.

11/20/2014 - 10 yr GC in hand! :D

That's why i asked her earlier if their case was expedited. I wasn't sure about who schedules in cases like that, and I was only guessing that that could have been the reason why she received that letter. Her first answer was that they didn't expedite, and that's what confuses me.

You're welcome :) I only paid the AOS online - that's when NVC got confused with my file. I paid the visa fee about 5 minutes before my interview, AT the consulate. It may be different for you.

You're welcome :) I only paid the AOS online - that's when NVC got confused with my file. I paid the visa fee about 5 minutes before my interview, AT the consulate. It may be different for you.

Yah.. might be different for me.. right now.. my husband is trying to get me an appointment online.. they said it's way better and easy to schedule it online.. thank you so much again.
