Waiting Time For Interview @ US Embassy Manila

Once the case is complete at NVC how long did you wait before your interview at US Embassy Manila? I just want to know the average wait time for interview, we just send our DS 230.

Not sure why this way moved to the Philippine forum... being the scheduling is controlled and from what I understand comes through NVC.

When did NVC completed your case?

I think if your case is done/completed in the first two weeks of the month they schedule for the following month. If your case completion falls late in the month you'll likely have to wait till the following month's first two weeks to get scheduled for the next month (1 1/2 months wait). I hope this is clear as mud for you.....best I could do. There is always the wild card and they have an open slot for you much quicker, but this I'd not wager on. Best of luck and you've gotten the hardest part over with!!!!

I would say expect an interview in the next month or two at the embassy. Be diligent and call. pay attention to any mail or posting on the site. Make sure to register at travel.gov to track your case to know when it is scheduled. You may still have to pay the embassy interview fee before the interview is set. i will check with a couple here who just went through the ir/cr visa process to give you more information.

I have a question...hope someone here can help me

We went on an interview last week at the US Embassy, we were asked to submit additional documents such as secondary proof of relationship, we are under f2a category, they did not give our passports back, just the white slip(paper) indicating what we should be sending them. we are able to send the documents needed yesterday(saturday).

my question: how long will I be waiting again for our passports with the visa to be delivered? and does that mean that we will surely be given a visa?

Its so frustrating that we have to wait again, and does anyone here knows where I can track if they're processing our papers already?

Hmm, not sure if yours is something special. But at the Manila Embassy, you schedule your own interview online, I don't believe the NVC schedules interviews for the US Embassy in Manila.

In our case, after the NVC forwarded our paperwork to the US Embassy in Manila, it took another 3 weeks or so and my fiance received her letter from the US Embassy, which explains which forms to fill out, and how to pay the fee and schedule your interview.

Hmm, not sure if yours is something special. But at the Manila Embassy, you schedule your own interview online, I don't believe the NVC schedules interviews for the US Embassy in Manila.

In our case, after the NVC forwarded our paperwork to the US Embassy in Manila, it took another 3 weeks or so and my fiance received her letter from the US Embassy, which explains which forms to fill out, and how to pay the fee and schedule your interview.

He's asking for an IR1/CR1 visa. In that case, the NVC DOES schedule the interview! The average wait time from case closed is approximately one month now, on average.
