So my attorney sent out my petition on Friday the 13th. She said they will receive it by Monday the 16th & I won't get anything till after a month that's how long it takes to get out of the mailing room. So ok. But I totally forgot to tell her to send in that G1145 I believe that's what it is. I'm talking about E-notification paper. I asked her to do it earlier before she mailed it she said she's not interested so I think she did that on purpose. I'm not trying to waste any time here n get another attorney or whatever. My question is that is it possible for me to send one in even though they already have my file? Or would that get me out of order? I really wanna be on top of things here I wanna be able to get that email on my phone with the USCIS updates. Please someone tell advise me. Because I'm not always home waiting on the mail I'm in/out of town. So she really pissed me up but I'm just trying to get this going without wasting a day. Plus she didn't send in my wedding pics she copied them using black ink so she only mailed out the copies and labeled on each pic who was in it. I don't know if what she did is right but I was referred to her by 3 friends as they say she's good.

Welcome to the forum.

IMHO, submitting additional information or forms after petition submission, not in response to a RFE, is akin to trying to find and matching up two needles in a very large haystack.

Set up an online USCIS account.

YMMV

Good luck on your visa journey.

When you get NOA1, notice EAC/WAC case number, go to USCIS webpage and sign up right here; https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp

You add your case number and select which way you'd like updates(email, text or both). After that, you'll get the notifications.

No need to send the G1145 now, or other info for that matter. Just have documents prepared so if you receive an RFE, you'll be ready to mail it out once you receive the hardcopy. However, they could be asking for things you never would've thought might trigger an RFE.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

Click timeline or "about me" for all details.

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until greencard in hand: 655 days

Correct but if the attorney filed the petition, the receipt notice will go to the attorney. The petitioner will need to get the case number from the attorney.

True - getting a copy of the NOA1 from attorney won't hurt either. However it's the NOA2 that'll be needed later on in the process, just so OP knows what he needs from the attorney in case they decide to AOS without legal assistance.

Good news they mailed me the next day the noa1 and I didn't happen to see it till today. So they got it 16th & 17 the noa1 was mailed to me. So I just wanted to glance at what it would look like on the USCIS page it said initial review like it should but it said at the bottom expires June 23rd ,2012. What is that?! My petition expires that date? I just filed this past week.

If it's all the way in the bottom right, don't worry about it. That's just the form itself and has nothing to do with your petition.

The forms you have used so far and will be filling out after NOA2 have dates on them too(i-129f, g325a etc). While some people have filled out expired forms, try to keep them up to date when filing. I had to have an expired form since my interview was the day after the form expired. No worries though - it usually says on USCIS which previous editions are accepted.
