Hello there VJ family okay so I know it's been a while since I made a post here but I have a question I truly need help with....in regards to our chats/emails...how do I put this information together for him to take to his interview when it's time? Do I print them all off? What did you do? I haven't even filed yet but I want to start getting our chats/emails etc printed off and organized now...I am good on the phone records...but how much does the embassy need to see the chats/emails etc? Thanks in advance....I'm all ears!

Yeah, just print a sampling from different times in your relationship. At my husband's interview, they didn't even ask to see the printed copies of emails and chats we had prepared, but I still think it's better to be safe than sorry and to have a variety of things to show, should they ask to see them. And of course, lots of photos of the two of you together, dated on the back with the location of the photo and the names of everyone in the photo. For chats, we used yahoo, ICQ, AIM, and Skype over our period of being long-distance, so he and I picked 100 pages of chats from each messenger and he printed them at home before going to his interview. It made it so we still had a lot, but not too much. :) Good luck!

Thank you thank you..it feels like some weight has been lifted off of me (paper weight that is lol) just knowing I don't have to print every single piece of paper...that would be like taking a tree or 2 to the interview...lol...God bless! :D

Hey Olumides_girl! Well, unfortunately I printed each and everyone of our yahoo chats and emails (3 years worth). Being this was Lagos, I didn't want any room for error. You are right, however, he carried about 2 trees with him to the interview...at which the CO did not ask to see a single chat/email. But that was our experience. Now for all I (or anyone) knows they may review the file before the interviews. Who knows. But do what you feel comfortable in doing.

Hey Aya...I hear ya and thank you alot :D ...but after talking to Lagoslove on the phone...(though she didn't post here) she said printing a few good chats each month (3-5 a month) will be good...the key is to show consistent conversation but not necessary to print it all...so I really appreciate all the advice here...but I think in presenting the chats/conversations I am clear now on how we will do it! All advice was greatly appreciated! (L)

Yes the sampling is all that's needed. Remember you have your initial petition evidence and your interview evidence.

What I did for email was print the log so they just saw all the list of daily emails date they could see than for email (facebook) took 2 to 3 (had to fit on one page) emails and top of every page gave a summary of what was discussed each month.

"Month og July 2009 - we meet getting acquainted"

It was 28 pages and the log was 43 pages that was facebook. Yahoo and Hotmail was much short like 18 and 12 pages. Didn't supply any actual emails. They will have to ask me for all that. Which I doubt.

Logs should suffice. Like you noted communications daily they want to see. Obviously they really don't care about content they love those phone records it seems. And well that's just the number called from, date and duration of call. See snip snip that's it.

Let's save the forest okay. :D;)
