Im really bumed out today. Its dishartening to see soooooo many people getting approved that applied after us and and we have nothing yet. Couples who have applied for the K3 have either their I -130 or the I-129 approved and some have both approved and we dont have any thing yet. Why is it that people that applied way after us are already approved and not us? I dont get it.While I may be happy for them its not fair for every one that has been waiting longer. Some one please tell me who do I have to contact to check on my case ..is it my congressman and how do I go about knowing who to contact, write or email?????? :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

God please guide me in this journey and put our application in the right hands. Amen

It looks like this Congressman might be the right guy for you -

If you have encountered problems working with USCIS, my staff and I may be able to assist you. Please complete and sign a privacy release form, and send it with a brief explanation of your problem to:

Congressman John Culberson

10000 Memorial Drive

Suite 620

Houston, Texas 77024

(713) 682.8828

(713) 680.8070 fax

I found this on his website: http://www.culberson.house.gov/Constituent...aspx?Section=47

Also, if you get beyond the date range on your NOA1 I would definitely recommend scheduling an Infopass appointment.

Good luck!!

sandy.

Thanks every one. Well I will for sure be looking into that link you gave me Sandy.... im willing to try everthing.

I wonder if any one whos SO was excluded coming on a VWP to visit a spouse was the cause of a delayed approval? Any ideas any one? The lawyer has said that this could be the problem. She also said that the fact that my husband and I got married and we did not live together since we been married and we did not file as soon as we got married , we filed a year a latter after he was visiting me and was denied entry for visiting. They told him he needed a visa to come in. Could his exlusion be a reason for a delay approval? Any one have an opinion? He was never here illegaly so I dont know what could be the problem other than him being denied entry on his last visit to me. =0(

Did your attorney have any insight into whether or not your husband's heritage could be a factor?

The I-130 involves background and namechecks similar to what is performed during a stateside AOS.

It was alluded to you before that as your husband is a British National of Pakistani origin that he most likely would be subject to Administrative Review.

I wonder if your attorney is of the same opinion as some of our posters in that regard.

Could there be some sort of reason for the hold up in my case?

My wife is 29, of European decent and from South Africa.

Well I called USCIS again today... to verify my address has been changed. And that was ok I also sent an email to my congressman and will be faxing and sending letters in snail mail. Am I over reacting? Should I wait longer or is it ok to ask for a congressional inquery after 100+ days of no approval on either I 130 and I129F? I was told on the phone by rep at USCIS that im about 2 more months for an approval as they are still doing march at the moment. I dont get it, because if that was the case why has there been so many approvals after march?

Dip_Sticks....I saw case after case after case get approved before mine with NOA1 dates long after mine. It was extremely disheartening, aggravating, frustrating, depressing, and discouraging. Then, all of a sudden, without so much as a hint of a touch, my case was approved. Yes, it took 5 months...and No, I'll never know why -- BUT it happened, and yours will, too.

You are not over-reacting. Your feelings are perfectly justified. But don't kill yourself with trying to find logic in all this because as far as I can tell. there is none.

I wouldn't really rely on anything the phone reps or border/customs guards tell you. I had a border guard tell me I should apply for a K1 for my then fiance - when I was a Green Card holder - and I totally knew he was wrong, but I wasn't going to argue with him :) Most of them are less informed than we are. I'm sure the rep said they were working on March b/c that's what her computer told her.

Dip_Sticks I am taking the same sort of action you are. I called my Congressman's office and spoke to someone and proceeded to fax some information to them. I also scheduled an infopass appointment for this coming Tuesday.

I think all any of us can do is try to be proactive and on top of things and wait and see how they play out. I think you will feel better knowing you have taken some action. I know I do. Even if it takes 2 years I want to know I have done all I can do to make sure things get moved along. Other than that it just isn't in my hands.

Dip I would think that your I-130 should be gettin approved very soon. I filed mine on May 3 and was approved in August. I will pray that you get your approvals very soon?

I was wondering does your hubby have any criminal record here in the U.S.? I keep thinking that that might slow approvals for some.

Thank you so much every one. I appreciate all the feed back. JessiPooh in regards to your question, no he has no type of record. The only thing that I can think is that he was excluded from entering the usa last time he came to visit me because they told him he was traveling on with the wrong documentation his british VWP . They told him he needed to apply for a visa. I see lots of approvals today so I hope we hear something good.

What is the difference between calling USCIS and making an info pass, and does making an appointment with the info pass help?
