Can EAD be approved if my I-485 is on hold right now because of RFE?

I don't know yet the reason for RFE, but I had my Biometrics done yesterday and my case for I-765 haven't been updated online since, but I-485 was.

Yes...you can get EAD still. Even people in the deportation process can be granted the approval to work while in that process...people need to live.

July 2005 - met my awesome, hot, amazing love in Lousiana.
July 2006 - Married said love and moved to Canada.
June 2011 - Entered US to visit family, decided to stay.
Feb. 2012 - Sent paperwork to Chicago.

May 2012 - Received green card.

yes it can be approved even if u received RFE.

I think it is a "NO". We got our RFE letter for I-485 and it clearly says, that if you filed for EAD your EAD application will be processed within 90 days after receiving RFE response. So they need to receive your response in order to continue with your EAD application too.

04/18/12 Biometrics done in Philadelphia
05/10/12 RFE response received and under review
06/07/12 Interview is scheduled on 07/10/12 :)
07/11/12 I-130 approved/no word on I-485 :(
07/12/12 5:20 PM received an email I-485 approved!!!!!!!!
07/16/12 Hard copies of I-130 and I-485 approval letters received
07/17/12 Card production ordered
07/18/12 Card Sent :)
07/20/12 Greencard received

No, alex&sofya, you are wrong. I called the hotline and the lady told me that I-765 is a completely different application and has nothing to do with I-485. Had i gotten the rfe for the EAD form, that would have been a different story
